MLS Soccer season heating up.

The new MLS soccer postseason rules this season allow for 10... That's right 10! Playoff soccer teams in this year's field. The 3 top teams in each conference automatically get in and await the winners of the 2 wildcard games. Making this one of the most exciting seasons in the MLS simply because more teams have a shot at the Championship.

Teams in: LA Galaxy, Seattle Sounders, FC Dallas, Colorado Rapids, Columbus Crew.

On the bubble: Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake, Houston Dynamo, Philadelphia Union, New York Red Bulls, DC United, Chivas USA.

Outlook: You have 5 teams that will almost certainly be in but that leaves 5 spots left! The top 3 in each conference are guaranteed in but the eastern conference has a mangled mess. The 4 wildcard spots are solely based on record not what conference so look for atleast two of the wildcard spots to be taken by the West in Colorado and Real Salt Lake. The last two wild card spots will be a fight between Philadelphia, New York, D.C, Chivas and maybe an outside chance of the Portland Timbers.
